June 1, 2007 - REACH legislation entered into force

January 1, 2008 – ECHA, (European Chemicals Agency) established

June 1, 2008 - Pre-registration window opened

October 28, 2008 - ECHA published the first substances on the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern

December 1, 2008 - Pre-registration window for existing substances closed

December 19, 2008 - Pre-registered substances list published by ECHA

December 1, 2010 – First registration  deadline for high volume (>1000 ton) substances and substances >100 T/y if R50/53 & >1 T/y if CMR cat.

January, 2011 - The first extended SDS’s with exposure scenarios are created and sent to downstream users

February 17, 2011 - The first substances added to the Authorisation List (Annex XIV)

June 1, 2013 - Registration deadline for pre-registered substances manufactured or imported in the EU between 100 and 1000 tons per year

June 1, 2018 - Registration deadline for pre-registered substances manufactured or imported in the EU between 1 and 100 tons per year
